Χαιρετώ σας.

Εδώ βλέπετε μια εκκλησία από μια μοναστηριακή κοινότητα στο μοναστήρι της Ζωοδόχου Πηγής στο χωριό Αγία Άννα, που κάηκε και καταστράφηκε μαζί με τον όποιο μνημειακό πλούτο είχε σε εικονογραφίες και άλλα, από βούλγαρο-κομιτατζήδες συνεργάτες των ναζί γερμανών κατακτητών, πιστεύοντας ότι εκεί κρύβονταν αντιστασιακοί αντάρτες.

Η εκκλησία αυτή και κάποια άλλα μικρά κτίσματα έχουν αναστηλωθεί κατά καιρούς και προσπαθούν να κάνουν το μέρος αυτό κάτι σαν τουριστικά επισκέψιμο τόπο με προσκυνηματικό τουρισμό. Το τοπίο παρουσιάζει μια πολύ όμορφη άγρια χάρη με έναν καταρράκτη που μπορείτε να δείτε στα αριστερά της εικόνας και μια εντυπωσιακή χαράδρα κάτω του μοναστηριού.

Hi everybody.

You see here a small church from on old monastery complex it begans before about 700 years. This monastery was dedicated to the "Life-giving, Source of Life =Zoodohos Pigi church. As you can see on the left there is a waterfall and down the church an impressive gorge. It is not very easy to have the impression of the gorge; on my other post in the next days I will try to give you something from it. A capture with the water fall . I tell you one story about this place...The last time there lived monks was until the second world war where it burned-like many others in all Europe those horrible times, destroyed like many others from Nazism's from Bulgaria fanatic collaborators with Nazi of Adolf Hitler conqueror because they believed that there were covered some members of the Greek resistance movement. So is also all the cultural richness of this monastery full destroyed.

Since this time some churches where renovated in different times without the best way as you can see here.

a lovely photo. The perspective, with the small road, the water fall all converging, is very effective, as the eye is then led up the mountain slope. It looks a beautiful place to stay and do some walking. The colour and light in this picture are excellent.

Τελικά η για αιώνες σκλαβιά των Ελλήνων, τους ανάγκαζε να χτίζουν Εκκλησίες σε δυσπρόσιτα αλλά και πανέμορφα μέρη. Κάτι τέτοια μέρη (όπως η φωτογραφία σου) τα ζηλεύω...

sche Perspektive mit der kleinen Kirche an der Schlucht, das grau der Felsen im Gr�n des Waldes gibt einen guten Kontrast f�r das Rot und Beige des Geb舫des. Ja, was wir Menschen in all diesen Kriegen wieder zerstt haben, ist schon zum wahnsinning werden. Hoffentlich hen wir mal damit auf.

Hi Evan, it doesn't look like a church as we're so used to seeing but it's a fine looking building perched, very precariously, on the edge of a looonnng drop! The location is beautiful and the road and the wall lead us towards the church. It's a fine, well balanced composition, congratulations my friend.
