...into the white land!!
White not because of the snow,only frozen vegetation and look the clouds ...they seems to stay on the road too,not in the sky
I am in Romania now,back home and already I miss Iceland :)

Very pleasing image, I like the colours and the exposure. I did not know they had rural roads in Iceland (!), I thought they just traveled anywhere they want in 4WD vehicles!

Stunning shot! The clearness of the shot is really amazing, like being there. The snow on the landscape I think really helps that, because it shows the shapes and outlines so well. The clouds on the mountains is a great feature too. Beautiful work!

your Iceland shots are dangerous! The beauty of the landscape and the light caressing the colors are simply stupend and making my wish to get there greater with every image I see of that place. The contrast of the bending, black street with the white stripes in the middle against the almost white landscape is simply awsome.

Still a new incredible landscape photo of Iceland. The inclusion of the road was a good idea: it drives the look to the background of the photo. I like also the piece of colors remaining of the white landscape and what looks like to a volcano in the background.

Hi Anes, I hope you are enjoying being home:)) I see you have been provident and have taken with you some unshown images of Iceland, in order to increase the number of future potential guests:) I guess if you go on like that, my dream of visiting your second homeland will sooner or later come true, because what you show are very unusual and unspoilt landscapes, and you know how to release their full power with your thoughtful PP. This one is no exception, the black road works so well in leading the eye to the white hills...

Dear Anellise,
Much and much better than your previous one. This one is very strong in the composition and the availible light. It's cold and that shows, but those little bit of greens brings some life in the image. That cloud around the mountain is also a nice detail, just as the winding road which creates a very good perspective. All we need is somewhere a red car ;-)

Magnificent landscape!
very nice composition with the curve of the road leading you in, beautiful exposure, the frozen vegatation makes you feel cold just looking at it, and lovely detail in the low level cloud.
(just got back from 4 weeks in the states, and now i want to come to Iceland, wish i had more holidays)

How beautiful Iceland was at the end of October � pristine, underpopulated but cold! It must be good to be with Isabel and family. In this beautifully composed image, the road curves away and converges into horizon. The little dusting of snow, and in the distance, the fog add to the mystique of the northern hinterland. Hey Anellise, there are trees! How can this be? I though, that Iceland is a completely tree free zone (as Greece will be in a few years). :-)
Once again a fantastic winter landscape. Usually I prefer such beauties of nature without roads, but in this case the black asphalt fits well into its snowy surrounding.

Excellent title as the road really is black. As the mountain in the background really looks like a smoking volcano, the blackness seems appropriate. I like the contrasts thanks to the way the vegetation is poking through the snow. Very good sharpness too.
