This is a rainbow created from a perfect ray of sun up of the waterfall of Dettifoss.

Dettifoss is a waterfall in Vatnajull National Park in Northeast Iceland, and is reputed to be the most powerful waterfall in Europe.
Dettifoss is situated on the Juls� � Fjlum river, which flows from the Vatnajull glacier and collects water from a large area in Northeast Iceland. The falls are 100 metres (330 ft) wide and have a drop of 45 metres (150 ft) down to the Juls疵glj曻ur canyon. It is the largest waterfall in Iceland in terms of volume discharge, having an average water flow of 193 m3/s.

Ciao Andrea,ottima scelta per le vacanze di quest'anno,l'Islanda � sempre nella mia agenda da anni ma non trovo mai nessuno che voglia assecondare questo mio desiderio..ehehe....grande scatto di apertura di una,spero,lunga serie,una magnifica cattura di questo arcobaleno tra le gocce della cascata,la qualita' � supersonica,e non era facile...buona Domenica,Luciano

Wow! Superb shot, Andrea!
Very nice composition including the rainbow! Usually we have see the rainbow in the sky over the heads, but the waterfall create this phenomenon on the ground level. It reminds me a picture from the "Catch The RAinbow" album.

The rainbow created from a perfect ray of sun up of the waterfall of Dettifoss is very successful.
Between the mountains with the green slope and the person high on the rock.
An excellent panorama view about the area.
Composition and presentation is very nice.

Hi Andrea,
The weather was grey when I've been there and I could not make great pictures. You were more lucky than me ! Very nice rainbow, beautiful light and the man / woman on the left adds scale.
