Ciao TE friends,
I feel pleasantly nostalgic today, and so, watching my old shots from Ireland I've decided to post this one, nothing special, just a view from a nice place.

Note about the place:
Kylemore Abbey (Irish: Mainistir na Coille Mre) is a Benedictine nunnery founded in 1920 on the grounds of Kylemore Castle, in Connemara, County Galway, Republic of Ireland. The abbey was founded when Benedictine Nuns fled Belgium in World War I.
Originally called Kylemore Castle, it was built between 1863 and 1868 as a private home for the family of Mitchell Henry, a wealthy politician from Manchester, England who was also MP for Galway County from 1871 to 1885. After the death of his wife Margaret in 1875, Mitchell did not spend much time there. He and his wife are both buried in the small mausoleum near the church in the grounds of the abbey. Notable features of the abbey are the neo-Gothic church (built between 1877 and 1881), a miniature replica of Norwich Cathedral, made from local green Connemara marble, and the Victorian walled garden.
The abbey houses a secondary girls' boarding school, Kylemore Abbey International Girls' School. The house and gardens are open to the public.
The name Kylemore originates from the Irish words Coill M � meaning Great Wood.

That has some quaint and soft setting in the way you have composed it and from the pov you have used. I feel like becoming a child again and playing there till my mom comes looking!!!

Hi Fabio,
That very fresh environment reminds of abandoned Asian palaces that are taken over by jungle. Very nice view, but there is sort of clash of eras. Boat and the cut lawn feel too modern, and I might consider excluding them from the composition.

"Nothing special"...hm...maybe for me,but for you a very special one.
Very pleasent view to see from a nice place,a picture very careful composed with an impression of calmness and quietness.

vedo la tua foto e mi sento molto molto ...quell'aggettivo che fa rima con orione!
sai...ho visitato anch'io l'Irlanda....e mi sono perso questa abbazia. d'altronde i miei compagni di viaggio volevano trascorrere pi� tempo a limerick! (intelligenti vero???)

cmq...ottimi toni di verde..e buon contrasto con il bianco dell'edificio

Ciao Fabio.
This seems to be more than just another shot from Kylemore. The boats and the tree nicely close composition, exposure is fine and colours natural. I have a feeling that moving your camera upwards would result in even better frame(I mean, slightly more space above the building, bit less grass).
Still, I really like this shot, even if I don't like this white frame, too thick and why not other colour, ie black?

Many thanks for this reminder. About 15 years ago I was here durng August and the whole two weeks it was rainy. The picture I had taken from this castle is grey in grey.

I like the calm and peaceful atmosphere. Nice colours and use of light.

A fairy tale type of scene. It's like a hidden jewel within foliages. Those boats are inviting too, it seems getting ready for a ride to the castle. Have you?

Fabio - a love shot of this scene. I like the way youve framed the building in the top left amongst all the greenary. The boat is also an interesting addition.

A simple shot of a simple subject,but so effective.It`s an excellent exposure with fantastic sweet colors but it is the mood that really grabs me.

Hi Fabio,
A beautiful place this, it's been captured a few imes on TE. I think you could improve on your shot by cutting out the lawn and strengthening the colour. I've done a workshop to show you what I mean. Hope you like it.

Hola Fabio, to be honest I dont think you got the best colors out of the image, as it is it feels that everything is on one plane (dont get me wrong, it could also mean that I'm getting old, and I cant see certain tones... jajaja). I do think that your logo ROCKS! Even without the word 'fotografo', just by looking at the logo you can tell that you are a photographer.

Hello Fabio. I like this landscape shot for many reasons. The green foreground with tall grass bordering with the lake is already stunning with the boats and the tall tree sitting right on the sweet spot. Hello Fabio, for someone leaving in such a crouwded and flat country as the Netherlands is this something special. Very nostalgic like you say but also very peacful. THe 2 boats at the fg make the nostalgie even stronger. Very well seen.

what a lovely shot! The colors of the abbey contrast beautifully with the surrounding greenery. I love the way you have composed it with the abbey to the left and the small colorful boats in the bottom right corner.
