Photographer's Note
The Cathedral Church of St. Brigid in the centre of Kildare. It is said that in the year 480 Saint Brigid arrived in Kildare with her nuns. The present building is a restored Norman cathedral dating from 1223. The cathedral was in ruins for centuries. Restoration of the building was undertaken during the 19th century and was complete in 1896.
The church is surrounded with stone fence and at the gate I noticed that it would be closed until May. But I had this view from the balcony of my accommodation, showing the cathedral in morning light.

Hello Kari,
A nice church of a modest size and modest design, probably reflecting the tastes of the 19th century rather than those of the medieval builders. You had a fine morning light and I like the inclusion of a few graves near the corner. It was not a bad view from your balcony.
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Kari, really a lucky sight from the window of your accommodation, so you didn't struggle to take advantage of this fantastic light that made the difference, illuminating the old architecture with brilliance, which after the restoration still defends itself very well, excellent first photo from your trip to Ireland! Have a nice weekend and thanks,Luciano

Hello Kari,
The golden light is really beautiful on the old walls of the charming church. The contrast with the cloudy sky is very nice as well. Excellent sharpness and clarity.

Hello Kari,
The morning light shines on some facades of the church while the others are still in the shade. The sunlight also illuminates some graves and creates long shadows in the foreground.
I'm sure Kildare will have accommodation options with less beautiful views.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Kari,
You can appreciate the Norman influence on this restored church.
What I particularly like is how you have captured the low sunlight, burnishing the west facing walls. It is a well-timed and well exposed photograph.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Kari,
The cathedral is well placed in the frame. The point of view is showing the details of St.Brigid cathedral. The light is giving nice tints to the colors of the picture. Have a nice day.

kari
curious structure, I imagine the tower originally could be higher. very simple and rustic architecture. it would be interesting to check what was added after restoration of the building.

Hello Kari,
Typical Irish style cathedral with a tower almost like from a castle.
Great light of a setting sun highlighted the details of this historic building.
Great pov as well as the quality of the picture.
Best regards,
Zbigniew
