Photographer's Note

Kildare is a small town with population of about 8000. I chose it as a place for stay thanks to good train and bus connections. The town has a neat Market Square and some cozy pubs nearby. Cathedral of Kildare and the Round Tower (height 32 m) in the background.

Hello Kari,
Basically the same view as before but with a very different light and a very different composition. I like the small town atmosphere. You had a good idea to have a "headquarters" in a town like this. I did the same thing in Holland a few years ago when I spent a week in Gouda and made day trips in all directions. It was like coming home in the evenings.

Interesting to know. A small town that is easy to reach, has accommodation options and cozy pubs.
Nice street view without much traffic and a good view of the cathedral.
I guess the round tower doesn't belong to the cathedral. I don't remember it from your previous photo.

Even though, as I mentioned, I was a frequent guest in Kildare, I posted only one photo from this town, I think it was of the same round tower which is present in your photo:

good to see you traveling again, I want to do the same.
I guess this small town has some much less expensive accomodations, that's always a plus. Some really old buildings mixed with newer ones, a little bit of everything. good one

Hello Kari,

You chose well for this is a very pretty village, with features that together create a harmonious composition.
I like how the seated lady anchors the f/g, with a sense of peace, whilst the walking figure guides into the scene, towards the church.

I noticed that you visited Ireland in early spring. I like the atmosphere of small charming towns like in your photo. The leafless trees gave an interesting view of the cathedral and tower.
