Photographer's Note

I think the reason why I like this picture is the contrast between old and new. Themost obvious building in the picture is the new built Financial Centre. The monolithic structure really dominates the landscape but if you look hardenough it is encirlced by old building that are just as impressive in their own right. Plus the River Liffey in the foreground has always for me represented the history of the City. The river itself has been the same since the time of the Vikings. People say that this building is offensive and vulgar. To me though it serves to emphasise the history of every other building around. Plus I just just think its a good picture - Please feel free to disagree
