Trotting down, a photo from Meath, North

Photographer's Note

This is another taken at the Laytown races. This guy was just trotting down to the starting line. No hurry at all. I really liked the look of the horse and the bright colours on the jockey. I also think the background of the beach and sea add to the image.

Bonjour Paul,
beaucoup de dynamisme et de mouvement dans cette photo. Un appareil qui permet de descendre au 1/3000 est bien utile pour ce genre de prise.
Je me demande si sur le plan de cadrage, places la t黎e du cheval si pr鑚 d'un bord 騁ait la meilleure id馥, j'aurais quant � moi laiss� l'espace devant et cadr� plus � droite.
Question de go皦.
Mais ta photo est superbe tout de m麥e .

I like the simple composition. The rider and horse are just off-center, which makes the composition more interesting and makes a nice contrast between the monochrome background and the rider and horse in the foreground. Great photo! -Lara

Good composition has we can see the stretch of the sands.I like the contrast between the colourful jockey and the greyish horse.

Nice photo, can't go wrong when you photograph a horse and the sea though for me! The horse however isn't trotting..:o) Hes in a nice slow canter and I see he would really like to do more but the jockey is holding him back...:o) It looks like so much fun..had a horse all my life until I moved here to Canada...Thanks for sharing this photo..Nice catch..I like the horse on the left , shows motion for me and the framing is quite nice as well..the view...beautiful!

interesting picture of a rider ! i like the dull colours in the background ! the strong colours of the foreground make a good contrast ! i once tried to take pictures of riders as well and so i know that its not easy ! like u i didnt succeed in getting the rider into the middle of the picture or the right side ! i would like ur pic more if he was there !
