Inspiration, a photo from Galway, North

Photographer's Note

I took this photo on Inis Me疂n - one of the Aran islands. I was on Arans to see places from Lasairfh卲na's songs. Almost all her songs are inspired by this part of Ireland (because those are present-day, beautiful arangements of old songs from this region).

Inis Me疂n is an unusual place, almost without turists yet (it's fantastic, when you know personally all the people visiting island).

Cliffs are really big, but on the right side of photo you can see also very little cliff. This is "Synge's chair", and on this "chair" you can see man and his dog (if you have a magnifying glass, because there are this two white spots ;-).

The quality of the light on the cliff face is wonderful. I think you have got the split between cliff / sea and sky absolutely right.
The two small areas of white created by the waves crashing into the cliffs really draw the eye in well.
First class piece of work.

What strikes me here are the incredible details of the foreground. I can really feel as though I'm looking down at the sea. The yellow algae is attractive and there's lots of depth.

Very good seascape, Marta, excellent moss colours and the man and the dog give a great sense of scale to this magnificent scenery. Good framing as well. Very well done!

Hi, Marta. The cliff that goes into the sea is very impressive, it really seems to have been cut with an axe. I like the angle you have chosen which creates a good perspective. The man and his dog give the scale of the rocky formation. The sky with those big clouds is quite dramatic.

alez piekne te klify, tyle razy chcialam tam pojechac, ale jakos nigdy mi sie nie udalo dotad. Swietny pov, mozna sobie wyobrazic, jak ogromne sa te klify. Super kolory, mialas fajne swiatlo i super to wykorzystalas.

Hi Marta, it's a successfull pic, with a minimalist composition you succeed in capturing the strenght of the landsc*ape. Light and colors are very natural, very sweet. It creates a contrast with the violent elemnts. Well done
