lberobello . I trulli di AlberobellornA trullo (plural, trulli) is a traditional Apulian dry stone hut with a conical roof. Their style of construction is specific to the Itria Valley, in the Murge area of the Italian region of Apulia. Trulli generally were constructed as temporary field shelters and storehouses or, as permanent dwellings by small proprietors or agricultural labourers. In the town of Alberobello, in the province of Bari, whole districts contain dense concentrations of trulli. The golden age of trulli was the nineteenth century, especially its final decades, which were marked by the development of wine growing.

A great close-up photo of these three beautiful and special roofs. The patterns of the stones are seen wonderfully and the green leaves are well-included in the foreground. Very well done.

charming close up of the roof detail.
This is probably the most characteristic element of the traditional house design.
Well selected with the roof making a nice repeated motif and resulting in an eye pleasing geometry.

A nice take upon the typical cone-shaped roof-tiles from this region, Costantino.
Diagonally across the pic. space gave good sense of depth to the composition.
