Getting beautiful in the mud, a photo from Messina, Sicily

Photographer's Note

A sulphur mud pot in Vulcano, Eolian Islands, Sicily.
If you can stand the disgusting smell, "they say" its mud is very good for skin.
I preferred to watch it by far away, and taking pictures of their strange inhabitants, with a little smile in my face while pressing the shutter.

I guess I would choose the same way as you do ! Human being is a bit weird sometimes ;) Quite a funny one with those women in red contrasting on the grey environment. The one with the mask almost look like from another planet ;)

I've done the same thing before, but haven't seen any improvements in my skin quality. So, never again!
The red spots contrasting in grey mud, are fine details in this minimal compo.

Non sono mai stato alle Eolie, per� ho visto roba simile in Israele nel Mar Morto e anche a Lampedusa...pure io non mi sono mai fatto convincere...

strani ma felici, si direbbe!
Qua mi piacew l'allineamento che dal sentierino porta l'occhio fino al berrettino rosso della sorridente infangata!

Hi Stefano, People do and believe some strange things don't they? Good diagonal composition presented by the two people and an otherwise muted background. The rocks look as if they may have been oversharpened just a touch? cheers, Steve
