Photographer's Note
I know these may not be the most popular types of shots people like to view, but for me, I really do enjoy them.
Its fun getting right up close to tall buildings, especially old ones which are everywhere in Europe, and pointing the camera lens UP. Its not done enough in my opinion, the views are different, they're not easy on the eyes at times and our brains need a moment to figure it all out in this weird perspective. But then again that's my point. Isn't it a good thing to show something different? instead of the same old thing time and time again?
Anyways, I hope you like this shot I took while walking the inner streets. I have many more if you want.

Hello Craig,
I'll be visiting Tuscany for the first time later this month, but I don't know if we'll have enough time to visit Siena as well (we'll be on a tight schedule). I've sometimes tried similar photos of North American skyscrapers, but you prove here that old narrow streets in Europe works also very well for a view up some fa軋des with the sky in between them. Well done.

Hello Craig,
I am more fond of photos looking straight down, where things and people on the ground may cause you some surprises. But this is also an interesting perspective showing a strange sky shaped by odd pieces of buildings. It's just a bit disturbing that they all seem about to collapse down on you. Crowded places like medieval Italian cities should be ideal for this kind of pictures.
You don't see completely knocked out by Covid, so I hope this means you are improving. Maybe any day now you can see your wife and son again? ;-)
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Craig,
The upward direction is special pn the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the buildings. The cloudy sky is giving a good contrast to the colors of the picture. Have a nice day.

Hi Craig,in fact, perspectives like this make the difference, showing the same things but in a different and alternative way, and what I like, nice look up from the heart of Siena after the opposite views from the drone, the important thing is to alternate and differentiate. I hope you are better and have a good evening. Luciano

Hello Craig, this stands out in the thumbnails because of the unusual shape that is the sky.
An original composition, I like it.
The town of Siena is a beautiful place, and here we see a variety of buildings with some lovely features.
We get a real sense of the narrow streets of the town.
Kind regards, Jean

Hello Craig,
Interesting picture from old town in Siena. It may not be the most popular type of shot, but I enjoy watching it.
I like the small details on the facades of these houses and the shape of the sky in this place.
Fine presentation

Hello my dearest Craig
I can see a great contrast
in your photos...
the drone by which you
take almost perfect
photos from above and the
simple photo taken from down....
this is an interesting perspective
an old photo but impressive enough

Hi Craig and hope you're feeling much better
I always try to shoot several different angles and this looks like it was in or very near to the same Sienna Street I stayed in. Some of those floors are separate pensions or hotels! Tfs!
