Gubbio is an Italian town of 32,216 inhabitants in the province of Perugia, in Umbria. The surface of the municipality is the largest in the region and seventh in Italy. It is part of the Mountain Community Alto Chiascio, National Association of City and Italian Truffle Association of Cities of Ceramics. The imposing complex of the Palazzo dei Consoli, the Praetorian Palace and the square wall unit that unites them, was built in the first half of the fourteenth century.rn rnThe resolutions of 1321 and 1322 prescribed that the buildings were erected in a place that confinasse with all districts. It thus created a business center which was not included in any district but touched them all. To implement the project it was necessary to significantly alter the natural state of the soil and to connect the two buildings were built the great vaults that hold the square is believed to be among the largest existing wall squares. The complex has a unitary character, that somehow anticipates the birth of a new Italian civilization.r
