Casteldilago
Casteldilago � un piccolo borgo a 10,5 km da Terni e ubicato su un colle a 326 mt slm.
Il borgo era una fortificazione strategica per la sicurezza della Valnerina, poich�, edificata su un pianoro roccioso che sovrasta di oltre cento metri la valle dove scorre il fiume Nera, controllava uno snodo viario trasversale alle due grandi arterie consolari: la via Flaminia e la via Salaria, la Via Curia (o Strada Romana), che collegava Rieti e Terni con Spoleto.

Hi Silvio,

You had a good idea to use the arch to frame the scene. The point of view is showing the details of the arches and of the facade of the house. The light is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

The dark arch works as the perfect frame for the beautifully lit walls and stairs in the background. The contrast is very attractive and the exposure of the photo is excellent.

I liked the play of light and shadows on the castle walls and stairs. Very well framed by the arch in the foreground. The potted plant provides a nice touch of green.

Silvio, nice use of the arch to frame the street in the bg. That medieval town should be a labyrinth of cobbled alleys. Many arches are found in the local architecture. Small staircases lead to the houses. Sharp details

questo bellissimo gioco di archi non potevi perderlo, gran bel lavoro, eccellente colpo d'occhio e ottima esposizione, ci sono molte differenze tra luci e ombre, difficili da gestire, ma hai fatto un ottimo lavoro.

Love the framing & shooting point that you've pulled off the bright and dark pleasantly on the subjects to make it interesting. The focus on main interest is spot on with sense of space, good bit of vivid green just to click the eye leading strongly into the image. Excellent shot.

Hello Silvio,
The same street taken from the opposite side.
The picture seems like taken from in a tunnel.
A village where all houses seem to be built in the same natural stone.
I guess the streets of Casteldilago form a labyrinth-like whole where it must be a small adventure to wander around.

very attractive visually composition. The black framing with the arched passage makes a great contribution.
The view throughout is so busy with plenty of arches, and alternatives to go left up straight down or right upstairs.
