''''Lake Misurina is the greater natural lake of the Cadore and it is 1,754 m above sea level, fraction of Auronzo di Cadore (Belluno). The perimeter is 2.6 km long, while the depth is 5 m.

Near the lake there are about ten hotels with accommodation for around 500 people.

The particular climatic characteristics of the area around the lake, make particularly good air for those who have respiratory diseases. In fact, near the lake is the only center in Italy for the care of childhood asthma.

Lake Misurina is where the speed skating events were held during the 1956 Winter Olympics of Cortina d'Ampezzo � the last time Olympic speed skating events were held on natural ice.''

The mountain in the background is the Sorapis mountain group. It consists of a central massif comprising Sorapiss Punta (3,200 m), Croda Marcora (3154 m) and the Three Sisters (3005 m)''

Ciao Alessandro, this is a very impressive photo, with the structure in the background dwarfed by the maginificent mountatins in the rear of it. I like the small boat appearing in the lake as well as the small buildings with the green shoreline. Terrific POV for your shot. Excellent presentation. Regards, Roger

Perfect place for some holidays - beautiful lake witk the impressive high mountains behind, nivce hotels, possibility of kayaking, we do not need anything more for relaxing. Wxcellent presentation of beautiful landscape.

Excellent POV and the wide coverage so that we can really enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of this lake view. However what really impressed me is the beautiful rich colour of the water which adds to boost the fanfare of the shot. Great photo, wonderful landscape and lighting. Well done. Congrats.

Nice blue colour on the mountain, the UV gives this special effect in altitude places.
