E� quello che pi� rappresenta la Agrigento artistica.
L誕lta piattaforma, montata su tre gradoni estesi all段ntero perimetro, misurava m. 34,12 in lunghezza e 15,86 in larghezza, poco meno di un doppio quadrato che occupava una superficie di mq.541,143.
Delle 34 colonne, solo quattro si stagliano in mezzo a tutte quelle rovine.
Lo spigolo del tempio evidenzia un bellissimo rosone.
L弾dificio fu, nel 1836, sgombrato dalle pietre e dalla terra da che per molti secoli lo avevano ricoperto. Villareale e Cavallari furono gli archeologi che , per ordine del Duca di Serradifalco, rilevarono la pianta del tempio ed eressero su tre gradoni, tre colonne alle quali, nel 1856, ne aggiunsero una quarta.

Well I almost got to Agrigento. But stayed in Taormina instead. The bus timetable meant a 2-3 hour delay each way during the week. Looks similar to Paestum south of Salerno in Italy. The ancient Greeks were everywhere around the Mediterranean! Tfs!

Hello Maurizio,
I like the look of the town on the hill as much as the ruins of the temple, and the green area between them. You managed to combine several attractive views and also balanced the composition well with the columns slightly to the side. Several large boulders remaining from the temple fill the right foreground well.

sweet shot here, the views are fantastic. Great seeing the city far off into the bg. and those clouds are A+. fine collection of warm yellows and cooling blues. nice to have the ruins as the main focal point. cheers

Hello Maurizio,
An excellent photo of this wonderful, ancient temple complex. The warm tones are beautiful, especially in this bright sunlight and I also really like seeing the modern city in the background underneath the large white clouds.

Excellent contrast between the ruins of the ancient town on the foreground and the new Sicilian city on the horizon.
A very colourful view and the warm tones of the columns look very pretty.
The thick white and dark clouds make a splendid background.
