Casteldilago
The village was a strategic fortification for the safety of the Valnerina, since, built on a rocky plateau over 100 meters above the valley where the Nera river flows, it controlled a road junction transversal to the two large consular arteries: the Via Flaminia and the Via Salaria, the Via Curia (or Strada Romana), which connected Rieti and Terni with Spoleto.

Hello Silvio,
A lovely glimpse of the narrow lane and the staircase. You balanced the photo well, and I like how we can look in two directions, with colourful flowers in one way and a large plant in the other. As often before you have used the arches well.

This is a very pretty section of the village and you photographed it at a good time, when the sunlight was creating such exciting details of light and shadows.
The f/g reveals excellent textural details, as does the passageway which guides us so effectively into the background.

the only thing missing here is a lady in red walking under the archway :) Lets photoshop a woman IN the scene hahaha
the lighting is harsh and strong, but well under control, looks like it was taken during mid day. Peaceful and historic, I wonder how the mood changes during the night darkness. good to have the pop of colour with the flowers, cheers

Silvio, the village has nowadays calm cobbled alleys passing under numerous arches. All the buildings here are made of cut stones. The flowers in pots add vivid colors to the composition. They embellish the stairs in the fg. Good inclusion, excellent light.

The colourful flowers and the green plant add life to this beautiful alley entirely in grey colour.
Very nice with the different arches and the winding path disappearing into a covered street.

The bright sunlight revealed the textures of the old walls really well. I like the composition, which is well balanced between the arches at right and the flowers on the stairs, which stand out nicely from the grey stones.

Great use of viewpoint through the olde rustic alleyway which draws the eye in and beyond. This shot for me always tells a story and why do we love old rustic images? Love this shot, beautiful architecture full of wonderful textures, tones and colour. Speck of vivid colours from the potted plant lends this a great lift, Excellent shot.
