Last days of autumn, a photo from Potenza, Basilicata

Photographer's Note

Someone has already shown the snow, others of the Christmas photographs, but we are still in autumn and in southern Italy the temperatures are still pleasant. The only clouds I saw I observed during the return journey, and when the dark clouds are above a sunny landscape, the photographic result is always very pleasant for me. So I took this picture from the bus that took us home, a little noisy but with good details. These are pastures in the municipality of Tito, a village of 7,000 inhabitants in the province of Potenza that never appeared on TE.

ULTIMI GIORNI D'AUTUNNO

Qualcuno ha gi� mostrato la neve, altri delle fotografie natalizie, ma siamo ancora in autunno e nel sud Italia le temperature sono ancora gradevoli. Le uniche nuvole che ho visto le ho osservate durante il viaggio di rientro, e quando le nuvole scure stanno sopra ad un paesaggio soleggiato, il risultato fotografico � sempre molto piacevole per me. Cos� ho fatto questa foto dal bus che ci riportava a casa, un poco rumorosa ma con buoni dettagli. Si tratta di pascoli del comune di Tito, un villaggio di 7000 abitanti in provincia di Potenza che non � mai apparso su TE.

Bonsoir Luciano,

Tu as bien captur� le ciel menacent. La prise de vue permet de voir les d騁ails du champ avec les moutons. La lumi鑽e met en valeur les couleurs de l'image. Bonne soir馥.

Ciao Luciano, Why the last days of autumn? There are still two weeks before the winter. We have cold days in Warsaw but there hasn't been snow yet.

Hello Luciano, yes indeed it is still just autumn, and this is a beautiful scene. The sun seems to be shining on the land highlighting the different shades of green and brown, whilst the stormy clouds loom overhead, beautiful!
I like the composition using the rule of thirds here.

Hello Luciano,
Black clouds and bright light are among my favourite conditions for photography. You were lucky to find this striking weather in such a nice area where sheep are grazing on the hill slope. You were also lucky to be able to enter a new location. I and some others have to ask Viviane to do it because of one of the many irrational TE bugs,

You are right about the effects of sunshine below stormy clouds, the light is almost indescribable it is so dramatically beautiful!

An amazing landscape, the green slopes are lit so well by a bright sunlight and I like seeing the sheep scattered around there as well. The dark and threatening clouds make a great contrast in the backdrop. Very well done.

At first glance the photo looks dramatic with the dark gray clouds above the sun-drenched meadow with sheep, but your text shows that it wasn't that serious.

Impressive storm sky with the darkest clouds I've seen, the hill with that yellowish green color is a great contrast to sheep grazing quietly.

Luciano, magnificent open landscape seen from the bus. The menacing clouds announce the rain. Sheeps are grazing in this meadow area. That place dedicated to farming is completely tree less. Fine colors, good sharpness, interesting photo note, regards.

The light was amazing of course!
The dark threatening sky makes an incredible effect and contrasts so nicely with the idyllic view of the sheep enjoying grass and sunshine.

There are so many sweet little towns in Italy that no one has ever heard of. Good sharpness and well composed using the rule of thirds. Excellent sharpness and nice warm cold color contrasts. The grazing sheep are making the most of the green pastures before the winter rains set in. Tfs!
