Castello di Campello
The history of the Common one is centralized on the ancient castle that is said founded, towards the half of the sec. X, from Rovero di Champeause, from which it would be derived the family of the accounts of Campello, than of it it had the lordship. The feudatario nobleman would have come in Italy from Reims, to the continuation of Guides, duca of Spoleto, obtaining to build up one fortress on a hill; Lamberto emperor would have confirmed the investitura in the 921 approximately, comprising in the feudo, called "Gualdi Ranieri", eight villas (villages). The noble ones of Campello were accounts of the castle omonimo, getlteman of the Rocca of the Thorn and of the Tower of Lanfranco a first document of the castle and its getlteman is had in 1226: to the times of Federico II they were active supporters of the Empire against the Church, much hardly to be condemned from Pope Onorio III, than them it defined "sons of the devil".
