Photographer's Note
No, not New York, but Bologna in Italy. It's possible to climb to the top of the tallest tower, and at one time there were around 200 of these towers scattered around the city. Only 20 remain.
These 2 are an iconic landmark of the city.

The Two Towers are the Asinelli Tower (97 m) and the Garisenda Tower (48 m).

Hello Chris,
Fantastic view of those medieval skyscrapers made of brick. They stand out so well against the white clouds with some patches of blue in the sky. Also the soft, war, sunlight was wonderful and reveals the textures nicely.

Chris, these towers represent a symbol of Bologna and are a landmark as well. Excellent pov from below to show their sizes. They are made in stone and are ancient. Fine colors, good sharpness, interesting photo note, regards.

Hello Chris,
You've been away for a while. I hope you weren't bitten by any mean virus. In this close view from a low angle the brown towers make quite an impression, which is enhanced by the much lower church towers to the side. There's a nice contrast of brown and green as well. A slight pity about the wires, but they are part of the cityscape and it would have been a waste of time to delete them anyway.
Regards,
Gert

Hello Chris, towers like this seem to have been very popular all over Italy, San Gimignano had many too.
They are very distinctive in style.
I like the point of view, and the dome and the spire add to the scene.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hello Chris,
I hope you will present us also some views taken on top of the tallest tower.
Incredible that once there were about 200 of these ancient skyscrapers.
I suspect the photo was taken at a low position of the sun, given the beautiful brown colour of the towers.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Chris
a very interesting subject which you have given the popular title of the movie. At first sight the towers don't seem that ancient but rather like an industrial construction. May be because I live in an industrial area...
But then you find the decorative top of the tower and a church next to it.
The perspective makes it feel very tall.
Very well seen and captured,
M
