Photographer's Note
Finally today I had some free time and I immediately went to hunt for butterflies. There are already several, the temperatures are over 20 degrees, although unfortunately it hasn't rained for over 3 months. Considering Treknature's death, I think this year you will get the chance to see some of them here. Today I present a Lycaena phlaeas, very common and also very collaborative with photographers, once identified it can be photographed quite easily.

Hello Luciano,
The butterfly is well positioned to let us admire its beauty, and there is a nice balance of colours. As always sharpness is perfect. The fine light tells us that spring has arrived in Italy. We have had many sunny days in Sweden this month, but not very warm, and today it's cloudy and only 3 ーC. How unfair! ;-)
Best regards,
Gert

Ciao Caro Luciano,
I was wondering when you would be able to photograph your beloved butterflies again. This is a beauty! He looks to be puffing up his chest, as if enjoying the sunshine.
You have achieved your usual, sharp exposure, capturing the details of the butterfly clearly, set against a useful oof b/g.
Yesterday, I saw my first butterfly of the year, a tortoiseshell! It wasn't as co-operative as your butterfly and flitted quickly around the garden, before heading off, over the fields!
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Ciao Luciano,
Wow this is an amazing wild life capture. I know you are a master of the butterfly photography and this is a great example of your skills. The butterfly seems to be posing for you in the lovely pose. We see details of the wings but also of the leaf it is standing on while the background is pleasantly blurred.
Did you use flash here?
Excellent quality work,
M

The light was perfect for you. The blurred background contrasts in colour and texture, lovely.

Ciao Luciano
Having lived in Europe I can well appreciate the revival of life after the bitterly cold and dark winters, when even the trees and grass appear dead, except for the odd conifer. A superb butterfly shot with impeccable sharpness and nice use of a shallow dof. Tfs!

Hello Luciano,
A fantastic close-up photo of this beautiful butterfly. It is so sharp we can even see the tiny hairs on its body and wings. The orange tones make a nice contrast with the blurry green in the background.

Hi Luciano.
Fascinating image with this beautiful butterfly, I love to see them fly in the fields in this season, but for me it has always been very difficult to photograph them, they are briefly in the same place, so I admire those of you who manage it like you and Silvio .
Very nice color, which together with good sharpness and optimal lighting, gives great quality to the image.
Well done. I like it a lot
You have a good day.
Very best regards
Luis.

Ciao Luciano,
thanks for your welcome. I don't wanted to look at my pics alone. This is a very colorful and sharp picture. Springtime is a time of hope for good things to come. "Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end." Heads up.
Kind regards,

Hi Luciano,
Lovely sign of spring. Sharp shot of this beautiful butterfly. There's a lot of colour on the underside of wings unlike many other butterflies.
