Cecanibbi Castle - Todi (PG)

The castle is about 5 km from Todi. It can be easily reached from the Todi-Orvieto exit of the E 45 highway along a short stretch of the state road 448 to Orvieto up to Pian di San Martino.
The municipal road climbs slightly up to the village located on a hill (248 m asl) to the right of the Tiber which flows into the plain below for a few hundred meters.
The first mention of the agglomeration is found in the Liber focularium of 1290 where Villa Cecanibbi is defined as part of the plebate of San Bartolomeo di Tevellaria with nine fires. To learn more https://www.iluoghidelsilenzio.it/castello-di-cecanibbi-todi-pg/

For a castle, this seems remarkably homely!
It is like a very well maintained outer wall, a beautiful arch leading to a fine front door and a substantial garage, on the left.
I like your well chosen viewpoint which creates a very natural route from the f/g to the steps and doorway!

This is a lovely fragment of the castle. Nice arched passages.
Very elegant and stylish. The plants in the pots add a nice touch as well.

What a splendid corner with that medieval flavor, everything is very restored, but it still has its charm with the stone and brick, the arches give a nice effect.
Beautiful composition, great color, light and sharpness is excellent.

A great and well-composed photo of the door and the arch. The patterns of the stone walls are very well and clearly visible as well. The plants add a nice touch of green.
