Photographer's Note
This is a photo taken from the top of the magnificent "Duomo", the cathedral of Florence and its gigantic "Cupola", a work of Brunellecshi. If you want to reach there you have to go to a side entrance of the cathedral and then climb some 440 steps through narrow arcades. It was one of the many times in my life I decided to quit smoking, but that didn't last long. Anyway, the view is absolutely rewarding, breathtaking (not because of smoking) and you can have an almost 360 degrees view of the beautiful "Capital of the Rennaisance". This tall building in the foreground is the 82 meters high "Campanile di Giotto", another excellent "watchtower" with some 30 steps less to climb, than the Duomo.

Hola Seor.
Felicidades!

Hi Hercules
Great vantage point from the top. The perspective is excellent, love how the white line leads our eyes into the frame and to the watchtower. Also an exquisite sky you've there! excellent documentary of the place.

Hi Hercules,
Wonderful POV, Florence is a small city and we can see big part of it in this frame. I mostly like the thin and long bulding but I forgot it's name.
When I visited Florence tour guide gave us welldetailed information about these masterpieces. Actually my mind was at shopping :) therefore I didn't climb that beautiful cathedral, I directly started to shopping at Florence streets.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful view.

Hi Hercules,
The view doesn't get any better than that, does it? Exposure and light are great. I would consider cropping the top a little. I liked reading the note, too.
Cheers my friend!

Hola Hercules,
Bonito y espectacular trabajo, amigo mo.
Un abrazo,
Josep

Kalispera Hercules.

Hi Hercules,
The wide angle and the point of view make for a great shot of this spectacular view. I like the details on the buildings aswell as the detail of the tiny people way down below showing us just how high up you were. The tower is beautiful too. Well done!

Impressive POV and pesrpective - the huge square so small, the rooftop so huge. It [provides a good look at the surrounding hills and the rather small scale of this famous town.

Hi Hercules. Just found this shot of Florence which almost gives me vertigo. What a superb viewpoint you found for this very wide angle shot that slightly distorts the Campanile in the most favourable way to emphasise its height above the surrounding roofs. Distant hills and an amazing sky finish the picture off well. I don't smoke, but I doubt I would have bothered to climb those steps. Thanks for doing it.

Andrew

Hola Hercules,
Excelente trabajo.
