Maastricht is a city and a municipality in the southeastern Netherlands.
It is the capital and largest city of the province of Limburg. Maastricht is located on both sides of the Meuse (Dutch: Maas), at the point where the Jeker joins it. Mount Saint Peter (Sint-Pietersberg) is largely situated within the city's municipal borders. Maastricht is adjacent to the border with Belgium. It is part of the Meuse-Rhine Euroregion, a metropolis with a population of about 3.9 million, which includes the nearby German and Belgian cities of Aachen, Li鑒e and Hasselt.
Maastricht developed from a Roman settlement (Trajectum ad Mosam) to a medieval religious centre.
In the 16th century it became a garrison town and in the 19th century an early industrial centre.
Today, the city is a thriving cultural and regional hub. It became well known through the Maastricht Treaty and as the birthplace of the euro.
Maastricht has 1677 national heritage buildings (rijksmonumenten), the second highest number in the Netherlands, after Amsterdam. The city is visited by tourists for shopping and recreation, and has a large international student population.

Hello Costantino,
Are you in Maastricht today?
I remember this elegant bridge well and the beautiful view of the central part of the city to the left. I liked the pleasant atmosphere of Maastricht which you have captured well in this nicely taken photo. The light and the colours are very good.
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Constantino,
Beautiful view across this surprisingly wide river. Although it is hard to see details of the buildings by the river I can appreciate their Dutch architecture. That river cruise boat catches my attention too.

Hello Costantino,
The Maas is already a fairly wide river in Maastricht, but will become even much wider further on in the Netherlands.
It is spanned by a bridge that I would like to see closer.
I was amazed at the clear sky as we had a very foggy day today.
I also see that the trees still have a lot of foliage.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Costantino,
The length of the river is giving a sense of depth to the scene. The point of view is showing the details of the bridge and of the buildings. It is clear and precise. Have a nice day.

A good panoramic view which would have benefited from cropping out some of the sky.

Kalimera Costantino,
The river long-boat and the bridge complement the river scenery with the town houses across. Dividing the sky from the watertway with those objects, well chosen POV.
Have a nice new day,
Ike

Hi Costantino,
You are travelling again! Very interesting destination.
I like the array of attractive houses along the river. The arch of the bridge adds a nice geometrical element.
Very wide view giving us a feeling of space.
I am looking forward to seeing more photos from this trip, it seems the weather is lovely there,

A wide 'funneled" perspective is depicted by the shore of the left-hand side, leading the attention toward the infinitude while showing one of the many attractive rivers in Holland.
Se xereto.

Hello dear Costantino.
Splendid note about the city, I did not know that it was so monumental. This perspective of the river was superb with a line of charming houses on one of its banks.
Optimal light, sharpness and color.
Very well done. I love it.
Enjoy the weekend.
Very best regards.
Luis.
