Red and green, a photo from Hordaland, South

Photographer's Note

One of the first pictures I took this year. I went for a walk along the inlet Nord蚶vannet when I came over this scene. The red and green colour of the boathouses caught my attention immediately. In the background you can see mount Ulriken (643 masl).

Detta 舐 en praktfull vy fr蚣 en mindre k舅d del av Bergen. Jag har sv蚌t att t舅ka mig en mer uppseendev臘kande fgrund 舅 dessa ra b蚯hus med gra portar. Det 舐 en mycket stilig bakgrund ocks�, med husen som kl舩trar uppf bergskanten.
I natt var jag i Bergen (i drmen allts�)! Jag tyckte det var 舅nu vackrare 舅 jag hade trott. Kanske blir drmen verklighet n虍on g蚣g.

Beautiful orange tone dominating this waterfront scene.
The house has fine green in contrast, and the slope with naked trees made the white houses and their red roof-tiles stand out under the mild winter light, and as a bonus - a nice reflection.
Pleasant to look at.

The owners of these boathouses surely like strong colour contrasts.
On a clear day like when you took this picture these colours reflect well in the water.
The houses are beautifully built behind each other on the steep hill.

Beautiful photo of the city bathing in a wonderful and warm light. Most eye-catching are the orange and green colours of the two barns in the foreground. The reflections are very attractive as well.

Hello Erling,
I know this kind of light very well, it's so lovely to see but not that easy to capture in a picture due to the strong contrast it creates and the sometimes flat details and colours. You dealt with all these challenges in a remarkable way, there are fine details all over this view, the contrast is very effective and the colours so attractive and pleasing. Apart from the bright boathouses, I enjoy the clear view of the house next to them through branches and shadows. Congratulations and thank you!
