Photographer's Note
Reine
This 菟ostcard is for Craig.
Just like me, he enjoys the mountains of the Lofoten and as we enjoyed a 10 days trip from south to north Lofoten / Vesteralen with outstanding weather conditions, i will post a few more for him... :)
* Craig, please use the Map View buttton and enjoy the same view with some snow
In the western part of Lofoten, at the mouth of Reinefjord, lies the fishing village of Reine, where the majestic Lofoten peaks and the Artic Ocean are our next-door neighbours. Enjoy the long days and the Midnight Sun or the short days and the Northern Lights.

Hi Viviane
I just logged on and I noticed this one :)
Thank you very much for the dedication photo! I appreciate it indeed. I have stood here myself, not in June as you did, but in winter :) My goal is to one day return in the warmer months as you have. What a wonderful shot and scene this is, wow.
Looking at it brings back so many fond memories. the water is amazing, so rich in royal blue tones, the mountains look strong and dominant. again...wow! I have so many questions...did you encounter a lot of bugs in the warm weather? was it difficult to find accomodation in the summer? Obviously the answers for me in the winter were No and No haha. great post! thanks again
cheers

Hello dear Viviane,
How lovely that you dedicated this shot from Lofoten to Craig - and so nice to see that he's seen it and feels so proud as a result!
This is indeed a beautiful and finely composed photograph and, when viewed at full size, has stunning sharpness and incredible detail throughout. The light and colours are gorgeous and your exposure perfect. And how splendid too that you included a map from which we can see another image taken from exactly the same viewpoint!
Absolutely Beautiful!
Kindest regards,
John.

Hi Viviane,
You have captured well the ripples on the water. The distance between the vegetation and the mountains is creating depth. The point of view is showing the details of the mountains. The light is giving good rendering of the colors. Have a nice day.

Bonjour Viviane,

Amiti駸, Paul
