Photographer's Note
Since I am away and have no more photos from India on my laptop, I thought I would post whatever pics I have available. This one happens to be from a town situated 60 km from where I am while writing these words.
It was taken at the end of December, early in the morning, when the temperature fell below -10C. I scrambled up a hill to take this photo which was quite an achievement given slippery ice on the steps. But the real challenge came later - descending the hill proved anything but possible so I ended up sliding down on my bottom.
You can see an alternative view (90 degress to the left) in WS.

Ciao Kasia, you deserve the prize not only for the two photos, but also for the climbing, the descent and the fall, and the so much cold that you took. Beautiful views from the top of this town that is not often seen on this site, obviously the glacial atmosphere has contributed significantly to embellish the compositions, top quality despite the greyish light. Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hello Kasia,
Maybe these two photos were worth the trouble of icy steps and slipping down on your behind. It's a pretty view and the light is just amazing. It compares very well with the special light of Indian towns at sunrise or sunset. This just looks much... colder.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Kasia, a delightful pair of shots which are a good reward for climbing up high in precarious conditions.
The sky in the main picture really adds to the scene; it looks so cold, frost or a thin covering of snow adding to the overall effect.
Lovely work.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hello Kasia,
I heard of this small very beautiful town but have never been there.
Both pictures are taken with a special very soft light that creates a pleasant atmosphere. The warm tones in the sky in your main photo make it seem less cold than it actually was.
Although when I look at the frost on the plants in the foreground, I may have to reconsider my opinion.
From that hill you can overlook most of the town.
Very nice houses and a beautiful church tower and roof.
Best regards, Paul

The two photos made it difficult to decide which is better as a main post, Kasia. Winter scenery with gray prevailing hue's, but the golden sky and red roof-tiles on the buildings made a fine contrasting tones.
Have a nice sunday,
Ike

Pastelowe, senne. Z pustką tych czasw. Bardzo klimatyczne, ja bym kontrast zwiększył tak aby ten pierwszy plan coś zadziornego znaczył.
Pozdrawiam W.

A lovely cold weather shot, such lovely colouring, detail and this has lovely depth and recession. I like the foreground features which amplifies the feeling of depth and the band of pastel pinkish has stolen the show for me. Splendid image.

Hello Kasia,
I prefer the main upload over the WS photo as it is obviously much more composed and balanced. The lights and the colours are very subtle. I think it worth to ascend on your 'most noble part' (Hungarian expression doesn't mean offence).
Best Wishes,
Gy.
PS: By the way, are you staying at home right now?

Witaj Kasiu,
Niesamowity rżowy kolor nieba i jakaś specjalna atmosfera.

https://www.trekearth.com/viewphotos.php?l=7&p=1134073
Bylem wtedy bardziej zachwycony HDRem.
Pozdrawiam serdecznie,
M

Hello Kasia,
Now that we know you survived the trip down the hill, we can say the photograph was worth the effort!!!
You have captured the atmosphere of a very cold morning. The town looks to be gripped by frost and ice, with the early morning red sky suggesting that the weather may become even worse.
I just love the coordinated colours of the sky and the roof-tops, the gap filled by sombre greys!
Both your photographs are excellent but the red sky adds something special to this one.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Kasia,
A very cold but lovely winter landscape of the town, the river and the hills further away. The composition is well balanced and I like the warmer colours of the roofs and the pastel tones in the sky.

Hello Kasia,
I've only been to Gizyko in the Masurian Lakes area so this area is unfamiliar to me. Looks great at sunrise. The climb up the slippery stairs and slide down were worth it. Perfect sharpness and framing. Tfs!

Hello Kasia.
What a wonderful composition, when looking at it it seems that time has stopped in the beauty of the place and the tranquility that this view transmits to us, perhaps it is that winter touch that seems to stop time, ideal sky as a background.
A magnificent range of colors, which gives an attractive color scheme.
Very good management of luminosity, as well as the sharpness of the image.
A good job, with which we enjoy. Love it.
Have a great day.
Very best regards.
Luis.
