Photographer's Note
I have a lot of photos of London but for a moment there will be no more from me here. I find it boring showing many pictures from the same place. Day after day the same church interior or the museum objects - are not for me.
So now something very different. Yesterday I went to see Warsaw Pride Parade. It was a great day, so full of colour and fun. There were mainly young people but I saw also some a bit elder, like in the Workshop photos.
The ruling party and the church are homophobic but Warsaw President supports the movement and such events can be organized. And this year痴 event was held jointly with the KyivPride march.
About the situation in Poland you can read here:
https://notesfrompoland.com/2020/05/14/poland-ranked-as-worst-country-in-eu-for-lgbt-people/
Poland is the worst country in the European Union for LGBT people, according to the annual 迭ainbow Map produced by ILGA-Europe, a Brussels-based NGO that advocates for the rights of LGBT people. In its annual report for Poland, ILGA-Europe noted 塗ateful rhetoric from the government and the church against LGBT people, as well as violence against equality marches.
The leader of the ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party, Jarosław Kaczyński, declared that Poland must 電efend children and normal families from the 妬mported LGBT movement, which 鍍hreatens our identity, our nation, its continued existence, and therefore the Polish state. The Archishop of Krakw, Marek Jędraszewski, called 鏑GBT ideology a 途ainbow plague and likened it to Bolshevism and Nazism.

Hello Malgo,
The church seems to steadfast in its opinions and takes a long time to move from established rules!
Your photographs should dispel and negative feelings!
The scene is full of colours and messages that whatever your orientation, you can still reach the top.
Have a lovely Sunday,
Bev :-)

Ciao Malgo,I see that many people who are no longer young also attended the party, and it is certainly a good sign against the homophobic government. I also saw the other photos on fscebook and it was a really nice reportage. An eternal struggle for rights, which seems to encounter difficulties even in states like the USA with recent decisions on abortion. Have a nice Sunday and thanks,Luciano

Hello Malgo,
Three good photos, including the portraits in the WS. These gay parades are always very colourful and perfect for a photographer. In spite of the reactionary attitude of the Polish government and the church these events in Warsaw seem to have been held without any major obstacles. In Norway, which is a much more open society, two persons were killed and nearly 20 seriously injured in a mass shooting at a gay bar in Oslo.
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Malgo,
THe sign is eye-catching. The point of view is showing the details of the sign and of the balloons. The light is making the colors to stand out. Have a nice day.

Hi Malgo
I've read a bit about some of your ultra conservative politicians. Maybe that's why this banner is so bright to be a loud and clear message. A good selection of photos.
cheers

Lepa scena sa ulice, dobro pokazano sa lepim bojama, kontrastom i uhvacenim trenutkom.
Dobar rad sa fotografijama u radionici.

Hello Malgo,
I may not have enough information but my first idea was that the pride in Warsaw can be a potentially dangerous place to walk around.
Fortunately it passed without incident.
In Belgium, where legislation and politicians try to solve inequalities, a problem with gay bashing still remains. However, this is done by import Belgians, coming from countries where people still think in terms of 'being unnatural'.
Fortunately, you can show us happy and colourful photos here.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Malgo,
It's good to see that Pride celebrations continue in Poland. I like that you snapped just as the young lady with the flag was passing by, and, yes, the celebrations are for all ages. :-) I see that you're in Central America now. Have a great trip!
