Surfiii..iing Silver Sun & Wind Sea day, a photo from Aveiro, North

Photographer's Note

This post is a Pause in my Serie compositions and also a Experiment shot in a decisition moment that I will report in this picture.

It was taken a few days ago in my Birthtown and known Portuguese Beach, and it was a very windy and light sunny day. The hour was after my launch, and I saw this beautiful sea surfing moment and I captured with my camera.

For me, the problem here is that I could not manage light easily, because to make this situation the surfer was in my left side and the sun was near 20 degrees left to the capture. So I tried nature and so my modesty and moment here, with these warm but winter conditions.

Note: Because light conditions, overexpousure and weather conditions were difficult for me, it was very difficult to reduce this image because is dense bright and pixelate in the original frame and also here in a small quality photo. But, I reduced to a vertical frame with the surfer like the original photo in the center of the mouvement and frame situation.

Please tell me your opinion, because is important to me your experience, and also your great curious and friendly opinion. It's a nice moment that for others can be difficult and it was also for me.

Hi Fernando, It comes out nicely as a silhouette style of view. It looked like a special effect result. The contrast is a little too strong. It is, still, a very nice special photo.

WOW! I love how I feel like the surfer is coming right at me ready to jump through my monitor! Seriously, this is a great shot and I am truly imrpessed with the sparkle on the water, a rare effect here at TE. On top of all that the sharpness is awesome. My congratulations to you on this fine shot!

Nice reflections and the slow surfer centered. He is almost consumed by the reflections.

Ce contre-jour est bien effectu� sans sous-exposition malgr� la forte luminosit�.
Ce pendant � mon humble avis, le sujet est centr� au milieu du cadrage; je me suis permis d'effectuer un WS. En revanche le commentaire est tr鑚 int駻essant.

It dark silhouette of the man against the water and the waves give a nice composition, with a specially effect in water, all the white stars, I like a lot of this image.

But it's very good capturing Fernando which you did,yes it's difficult by light,but you create it graphical and nice,I like it.
in this situation you can test in more than 1/1000 seconds exposure,no doubt the silhouette the man becomes darker and surface the water,too,but mini parts of reflections that are overexposed becomes less than it,of caurse it depends to your taste,but anyway I like your try here,nicely done,Fernando!

Percebo muito bem a sua dificuldade, porque tamb駑 passo pelo mesmo nestas circunst穗cias; mas tamb駑 penso que o resultado � bom, porque a silhueta do surfista contrasta bastante bem com a intensa luz envolvente. N縊 posso dar uma opini縊 t馗nica, claro, deixo isso para os nossos colegas mais experientes...

Hi Fernando! I'm not expert in shooting at this kind of light conditions, but I find it quite beautiful. I think the bright lighting is how the naked eye really sees the scene. You also placed the surfer in just the right place. rgds.

Hi Fernando,
I guess the best thing to do in a situation like this, to reduce reflections, is use a polarizer. But I think this turned out really nice anyway, the strong light from the water gives the picture an artistiv touch and makes the silhouette of the surfer stronger. Nothing to complain about imo.

N縊 sei se me pegou a sua enorme atra鈬o pelo mar, mas a verdade � que ultimamente ando a ser muito atra冝o para ele e com vontade de partilh�-lo. Acabei de vir de um passeio na praia de Carcavelos, onde estive a tirar umas fotos aos surfistas num belo p-do-sol. As minhas fotos da China ter縊 de esperar...bastante...
Adoro esta imagem art﨎tica com o surfista em contra-luz neste mar brilhante t縊 atraente! Gosto do ws do Didi, mas n縊 sei se mais do que a sua - s縊 abordagens diferentes com resultados diferentes.
