Photographer's Note

AiresSantos knew that I am a big fan of the blue hour so in addition to the exquisite meal which I mentioned before he also took me for a blue hour session at his favourite spot, Parque das Na鋏es and in particular to the Esta鈬o do Oriente. Esta鈬o do Oriente is a modern, Gothic-influenced railway hub, designed by the Spanish architect, Santiago Calatrava.
It offers amazing opportunities in particular for the blue hour photography, although I feel I was so overwhelmed with it that I didn't really use the opportunity very well.
In my photo you can see the main entrance to the train station.

Architectural an beautiful picture, a tripod during the evening or night are very important, we see a wonderful result
Sharp and nice yellow/green colours
An excellent depth and perspective picture.

Fantastic picture of the illumination RR station, Mariusz.
Equally appears over the picture space, flash illuminatedions and superbly clear outcome. I remember the place, though did not have spare time to take a godd picture there.

Hello Mariusz,
I've been in the Esta鈬o do Oriente but don't have any good picture of it.
On the thumbnail it was a bit like a stage you were schowing.
In normal format, I immediately recognize the location.
Beautiful with striking colours.

Hi Mariusz,
It is an amazing station with unmistakable style of Calatrava. And of course it looks great on the blue hour. I also like lines of lights on this long exposure shot. In 2015 when I visited the station it showed already quite a bit of wear and tear.

your photo is much better than that of Aires, despite he wanted to show the mood of photographers at work.
marvelous image using the geometric effects and the lights and colors in a precious way as is usual.
I never saw this station..

This is a completely different style of photograph compared with that shown by Aires. Both excellent in their own way.
I like how you have made this a very competent, symmetrical composition, so that the curved features become well emphasised in their fanlike patterns. The golden effect on the roof is very eye-catching.
You have achieved a fine sense of depth.

Hello Mariusz, the symmetry of this composition is very striking with the beautiful lines of the structure.
The time of day meant that the building was illuminated and so it stands out so well against the 'blue hour' sky.

This view is beautiful. The long exposure captured all the moving car lights, making them a nice contrast to the lit up sections of the station. I like the gold color, too. Calatrava's creations are always very photogenic. Take care!

Sensational construction at blue hour, which wonderfully combines that golden tone of the electric lighting with the blue of the sky, I would love to see all this modern part of Lisbon, I have been to the city a couple of times, but many years ago.
Magnificent composition and color.
