Photographer's Note

I decided to classify this shot as "Decisive Moment" because it's necessary the condition and the decision to Shot!

It's was taken at the end of January in my birth town beach, where there are many surfers along the year.

Visit the Workshop "WS" I did for a view of other point of view in composition.

I hope you enjoy and tell me your critiques, "WS" value and or comments.

Bonjour Fernando,
Beaucoup de vie dans cette photo. Il ne faisait pas chaud � en juger par les tenues des surfeurs. J'aime beaucoup le vent qui provoque ces bruines au dessus du sommet de la vague.

Hi..nice shot.. really tipical activity in Portugal..it can be winter os summer.. and just a few people who take photos about them..but the deserve it:)...

Excellent action capture. Very nice details and colors of the waves. Good composition of this beautiful water sport scenery. Congratulations Fernando. You enjoying warm weather in Portugal, I am looking through window outside, is snowing, we have snowstorm.

Je sens le vent qui s'oppose aux vagues.
La photo a 騁� prise au bon moment.
Les bruines donnent une sensation de mouvement.

Timing is very important in action shote, Fernando, and yo did very well here. It could be even better with a closer zoom, but it is still very good.

wonderfully shot, Fernando. It is not easy to take these shots. It really well shows the energy and excitment present at that moment on the beach, and especially among the surfers.

A peaceful photo. Your timing in capturing the surfers is perfect. Great point of view. Did you get wet taking this photo or did you cropped out the sand? Either way, it is a nice photo. Well done.....

another very beautiful shot. I just love the way you framed the surfer perfectly in the picture. you stopped the action of the surfer and the wave superbly. I also like the way you captured the sea spray so well, it looks just great. great shot!

People on this spot are well caught, and also the wave at teh best time for it. I do appreciate the quality, sharp and light (normal for a spot::)). Excellent description for this sport and TU for the serial.

Very well balanced shot, Fernando. Good action view. Now I like, that you have not shown sky and your shot is so simple concentrating just to the main theme. Most of my thoughts have been told already. Well done - keep going !

Wow, Fernando, This is an excellent picture. I like the comparison that the surfer was still on his feet while his neighbor had a "sunken boat".

This is a good surfer photo. It is so difficult to catch them on the crest of a wave. I tried last year and didn't succed. It is also very sharp and well cropped. Congratulations.

Outra excelente e muito din穃ica foto, mostrando-nos surfistas em diversas fases: ap, durante e antes de apanhar a onda...; gosto bastante do conjunto e da espuma e rebenta鈬o das ondas, o que acrescenta mais dinamismo � composi鈬o. Gosto tamb駑 do WS, que restringe a nossa vis縊 da mesma cena. Bom trabalho!

You chose a very nice title for this photo :) Again, a work of quality and full of life, the movement of the surfer and the commitment that shows from his body, you all captured it in this very second, wonderful! Bom dia Fernando,
Parece que n縊 consigo evitar a atrac鈬o que me impele para esta s駻ie de surf, na sua galeria. Penso que s� me faltava esta para criticar. Concordo que este tipo de fotografia ter� de ser necess疵ia a classifica鈬o de 'momento decisivo'. A abordagem aproximada do Mohammad � interessante, mas de faco prefiro esta vista geral com o resto dos surfistas na 疊ua em diferentes situa鋏es. O mesmo digo para a sua hipese em ws - para al駑 deste formato ao baixo ser bastante mais agrad疱el � vista.
A capta鈬o daquele surfista a descer a onda est� excelente, no melhor momento da cena e com a sua imagem escura bem definida contra o branco da rebenta鈬o. Tamb駑 gosto bastante do vento a levantar a crista da onda e esta onda de espuma � fente a ajudar na composi鈬o. Excelente trabalho!
