Pelisor Castle, a photo from Prahova, East

The lighting wasn't ideal here but I liked the glimpses of the snow capped peaks in the bg. Pelisor Castle is an Art Nouveau style castle adjacent to Peles Castle that doesn't receive nearly as many visitors, but its half timbered facade is equally attractive. It was built between 1899-1902 AD. More information here:

Hello Chris,
The angle for this photo is quite good, even though there are slightly too many branches disturbing the view. We still get a good idea of the attractive details of the castle, and the colours are very good.

Les arbres cadrent bien le ch穰eau. La prise de vue permet de voir les d騁ails�du ch穰eau Pelisor. La lumi鑽e met en valeur les couleurs de l'image.

Bonjour Chris,

Il est vraiment tr鑚 beau ce ch穰eau. Les colombages sont beaux. On se croirait presque en Alsace mais les montagnes enneig馥s en arri鑽e plan nous font r饌liser notre erreur.

I actually quite like the soft light on the remarkable architecture of this place with its many small roof towers and half-timbered walls. You found a good viewpoint, which nicely included the trees in the foreground.

unless i'm mistaken, I haven't seen this castle before, but I want to see more :) it would be awesome to take a tour of the interior. obviously the tree branches get in the way of the view, but we can still make everything out clearly. great subject. cheers

Much less photographed than the Peles castle and well worth visiting. I was also there and I have some pictures but as always, no time to show. Excellent composition, nice colours. Very attractive half-timbered houses. And again, nice view of the mountains in the background.

What a beautiful castle. I like the bare tree branches in the foreground, too. This is not a typical castle architecturally, but it could definitely be the setting for a fairy tale. I like the half timber; it has a romantic feeling to it.

the building has a nice aspect, similar with that timber houses we can find in germany, UK and france. nice details from this angle with the nude trees in foreground. excellent.
