Photographer's Note

i've been thinking all day what to write here ... it may come as a surprise, but i still have no idea. i know that the subject is obvious: baptizing. i could write about its symbols, about religion, about new born babies or very young kids, about christianity, about the roman-catholic baptizing pictured here, about parenthood or even about the vicar himself.

but baptizing is first of all, a beginning.

so i think i will let all of you think about new beginnings, about new lives, about new plans, about the future. just as new parents care for and make plans for their kids in hope for good, healthy and prosperous lifes, just as priests bless new kids and their parents praying for the best possible future, you should also think of your life starting this very minute as a new beginning, full of hopes, full of joy, full of spring ... despite the moody autumn outside ;o) ... come on, imagine what a wonderful world it could be if you would start all over now!

Not something i am familiar with, but what i really like here are the eyes of that little boy. We only see a small part of them, but it seems that is wondering what is going to happen with him.
First i didn't like that white spot on the wall, but when you look lobger you might think it's divine light above the hand of the priest reaching out to the boy.....i like that in here, just as your deep colours and the details in the background with the painting and the beautiful glass in lead window.

hello Teodora,
a picture rich in colour and texture. A fine portrait of a portly priest.Well composed with a strong diagonal line through the centre of the frame. Beautifully lit.

beautiful photo - the most wonderful moment on christian life, and how beautifully presented: with all necessary details of "the action" and the gesture that brings new light to the soul of that baby...

Oh wow, you can see how it all starts and how it can all end in one photograph! That priest is just waiting for some cardivascular problem, or a stroke, with such a weight...
A nice note on the beginning. :-)

perfect prins momentul binecuvantarii, cu toate detaliile din biserica. Intr-adevar o fotografie de colectie. Ma surprinde totusi varsta copilului, care pare cam mare pentru botez
