Broken windows, a photo from Cluj, West

Photographer's Note

Probably unintentional, but the 2 broken windows of the Cluj art gallery offer an abstract view of the Franciscan Church and courtyard garden that give an image of contrasting colours and textures, in keeping with the purpose of the art gallery, even though its main focus was neoclassical sculptures.

I immediately saw this as a kind of modern art, so I was happily surprised to learn that you found this in an art gallery. Yes, the effect was probably unintentional, but it was good, and you handled the opportunity well.

A great photo! Those yellowish and greenish window panes add such a artistic touch to the photo and the church tower is framed perfectly by it as well. Very well spotted and captured!

Hello Chris,

It is so interesting when you find a 'different' view of an established feature.
The coloured glass window is attractive, whilst the broken panes create a good frame for the church.

Tu as eu une bonne id馥 d'utiliser l'espace des fen黎res bris馥s pour cadrer la sc鈩e. La prise de vue permet de voir les d騁ails d'une partie du monast鑽e et de la cours. La lumi鑽e a un bel effet sur les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journ馥.

J'aime beaucoup cette composition, surtout � cause des textures et des couleurs qui commencent � prendre de l'稟e. La vitre bris馥 offre une belle perspective sur le clocher.

Refreshingly different and arty taken from an impressive viewpoint! The sharp window frame have made the context easier to understand and I like the spire framed nicely in the window, and of course the striking dramatic colour scheme make this really standout. Very Keen observation, Congrats
