Photographer's Note
A bit underexposed but the lighting inside was dim and I don't like using flash. I have removed some of the grain. This is inside the unusual Pharmaceutical Museum in Cluj Napoca. Many of the exhibits date from the 1920's

Hello Chris,
Quite an unusual photo, but most of these items are really beautiful. They are displayed in a way that reminds me of museums I saw many years ago, and certainly long before 2016.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Chris, a different kind of picture today but nevertheless a very interesting one.
I am glad that you included the information adjacent to the items. The weights and measures not being standardised must have made it very difficult for all sorts of reasons.
A dark shot, but in the large version everything becomes much clearer.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hello Chris,
This a completely unique photograph to this site! And, it is very interesting and informative!
I have occasionally found weights, in England, when metal detecting. I found one near York which did not have the head of a monarch, but a leaf detail. The museum thought that it was probably one struck during The Civil War, when no-one was actually 'in charge'.
This is a fascinating collection, revealing one aspect of human history.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Chris,
A great photo of these weights on display in the museum. The golden colours stand out really well from the dark background and you managed the sharpness and clarity very well.

Hi Chris
A fascinating one for me given that both my father and grandfather were chemists. They had a lot of old gear about but these look a bit different. Maybe continental Europe had different systems to us.
cheers

Bonjour Chris,
Le cadrage serr met les objets en 騅idence. La prise de vue permet de voir les outils qui sont utilis駸 par le pharmacien. La lumi鑽e environnante a un bel effet sur les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journ馥.
