Photographer's Note
The Historic Centre of Sighișoara (Sighișoara Citadel) is built in the 12th century by Saxon colonists under the Latin name Castrum Sex. It is an inhabited medieval citadel that, in 1999, was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its 850-year-old testament to the history and culture of the Transylvanian Saxons.
Birthplace of Vlad III the Impaler (Vlad Țepeș), Sighișoara hosts, every year, a medieval festival where arts and crafts blend with rock music and stage plays. The city marks the upper boundary of the Land of Sachsen. Like its bigger brothers, Sibiu (Hermannstadt - The European Cultural Capital in 2007) and Braşov (Kronstadt), Sighișoara exhibits architecture typical of medieval Germany. During the Communist era, this German area was preserved, and the original architecture is still in place.

Hello Daniel,
A nice view of the leaning orange wall and the flowers adorning the windows. I enjoyed my visit to Sighișoara with its many pretty buildings and narrow alleys. It's a pity to see the damages on the wall (almost like in Stockholm).
Regards,
Gert

Hello Daniel,
I really enjoyed my visit of Sighișoara in 2005.
The orange colour of the facade makes the house standing out well. Here nice in contrast with the blue sky.
The top floor looks a lot more tidy than the ground floor. But the weathered wall partly determines the charm of this city.
Een beautiful tower rises over the roof.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Daniel,
My favourite small town in Europe! Honourable mentions to Berat, Gyrocaster, Cordoba and Cesky Krumlov. A good upward pov with striking warm cold colour contrasts. Tfs!

Hi Daniel
A wonderful and very photogenic spot with the eye popping architecture and contrasting colours well within the frame. It's a most pleasing image and thanks for the text and history! tasteful and yet very grand looking. A lovely clean classical image.
Best regards

Hi Daniel,
very nice composition. The color itself makes the scene so eye catching but we can also see how the walls are bent. Places like this cause so much trouble if one like having a straight perspective. Here You went for a creative approach with the tower adding a nice touch at the top and the sky also quite dynamic.
Very well done,
M
