SOS Dogs Oradea

The SOS Dogs project started with the cooperation between Oradea City Hall, Noah's Ark Association and the Campina Foundation for community dogs.
The sponsors of the project are two well-known British foundations: Dogs Trust, and Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, as well as the biggest American animal protection foundation: North Shore Animal League International.

The purpose of SOS Dogs is to solve the problems of stray dogs in Oradea using civilized methods and according to the European norms.

**the doggy was in a cage, therefor the bars on the left side/bottom of the image (no pp on the bars- it's how the camera handled them) ... i probably should have placed the camera between the bars but it all happened too quickly ... at least for me :) - i focused on his eyes/face and didn't care much about the rest

Hi Teodora,
I liked your photo much. Especially the lively colours and the sweet look of the doggy.
I couldnt understand though, what is the foggy lines in tehe photo about. Is it because you erased the irons of the cage on photoshop?

ce ochi tristi are catelusul..dupa explicatia data lui alper nu mai intreb ce s-a intamplat..bine ai facut sa aduci tema asta in discutie!din pacate,la noi va fi mai greu cu salvarea acestor prieteni..

Buna Dora,
Uff, are niste ochi asa de tristi si neincrezatori... Bravo pentru ca ai adus ideea asta pe tapet: sunt atatia caini vagabonzi, poate ca eforturile acestor organizatii vor duce la bun sfarsit (in Galatiul meu natal e cam la fel, desi organizatia parca se cheama altfel). Pe de alta parte, sunt animale abandonate si pe aici, si organizatii de voluntari incearca sa ajute... ce-i drept, amplitudinea fenomenului e mai redusa).
La inceput mi-a displacut profund bara aceea care pare o eroare de prelucrare. Acum insa ma gandesc ca mesajul poate ar fi fost si mai puternic daca bara (sau poate 2 bari) ar fi aparut in clar (folosind un DOF mai mare). Daca asta ar fi fost fezabil sa nu, asta numai tu o stii...

Hi Teodora. Nice capture (photo, not the dog ;-)). You have the eyes sharp, which is what counts with a portrait. Nice contrasting colours also. Thanks for sharing.

Very cute and great. You've done to spot this scene and then capture it so effectively. the colours are great and so is the light. You'v e got a great POV and DOF and have done well to get this particular angle which makes it so effective.

This is a fantastic image and perfect for the note. I like the green hut as the colour goes with the dog and the out of focus cage is a god addition

Hi Thea!

This picture is so touching. That sad and timid expression on that dog's face is heartbreaking. BUT then it is also nice to read your note and discover that some people do care!
