Krov je gornji, zavrsni deo gradjevine, koji je stiti od atmosferskih uticaja. Sastoji se od krovne konstrukcije.
Krov je prema obliku: jednovodni, dvovodni ili visevodni.
Nagib krova i njegova konstrukcija odredjeni su vrstom krovnog pokrivaca, klimatskim uslovima, namenom tavanskog prostora i estetskim uslovima.
Crep je vrsta krovnog pokrivaca koji se obicno pravi od gline, a moze biti i od betona ili stakla. Glineni se proizvodi od kvalitenije gline nego opeka. Sa vodom dobro izradjena glina oblikuje se rucno u kalupima ili masinski izvlacenjem pomocu puzne prese. Oblikovani crep susi se na vazduhu ili u susarama, a zatim se pece u kruznim ili tunelskim pecima na temperaturi od 1200ｰC stepeni.
