Kraljeva crkva u Studenici je posvećena svetim Joakimu i Ani, a podigao ju je kralj Milutin (1282�1321) 1314. godine. Napravljena je u srpsko-vizantijskom stilu i ubraja se među najlep啼 spomenike tog stila, dok se njen 枴vopis iz dvadesetih godina XIV veka smatra jednim od najvi喨h dometa Renesanse Paleologa među srpskim manastirima i vrhunac stvarala嗾va dvorskih slikara kralja Milutina, Mihajla i Evtihija (radili su 枴vopis Bogorodice Ljevi嗅e, Gračanice, Starog Nagoričina, 司če, Bogorodice Perivlepte u Ohridu i drugih). Podignuta je od belog mermera i ukra啼na po uzoru na glavnu manastirsku crkvu posvećenu Bogorodici.
Jubilej sedam vekova Kraljeve crkve u Studenici svečano je proslavljen naučnim skupom u maju 2014. godine, a 2016. je iza啾o zbornik radova sa tog skupa.

The Royal Church in Studenica is dedicated to St. Joakim and Ani, and it was built by King Milutin (1282-1321) in 1314. It was made in the Serbian-Byzantine style and is considered one of the most beautiful monuments of this style, while its painting from the 1920s is considered one of the highest ranges of the Renaissance Paleologist among the Serbian monasteries and the peak of the creation of court painters of King Milutin, Mihail and Evtihi The Virgin of Ljeviska, Gracanica, the Old Nagoric, 司če, the Virgin Perivlepte in Ohrid and others). It is made of white marble and decorated on the model of the main monastery church dedicated to the Mother of God.
The jubilee of the seven centuries of the Royal Church in Studenica was officially celebrated by a scientific gathering in May 2014, and in 2016 a collection of papers from that meeting was published.

I like the relatively plain style of this church and the combination of colours. You exposed the photo perfectly and the colours are very nicely saturated. Blue and green complement the view perfectly.

The relatively close framing puts the accent on the subject. I appreciate the tonal and textural contrast offered by the framing bush. The whole is nicely illuminated with good colour contrasts and very good sharpness.

A nice addition to your previous upload. We can study the differences of this tower on the small church building and the tower of the monastery. You can tell from the architecture that they were not built in at the same time, but they fit very well together.

A very eyecatching contrast, the blue sky brings out white church's detail so well with excellent straight on shooting angle. It is the maroon colour of the dome which commands our attention. Lovely classic church and good technical quality, Congrats.

Hello Sasha You beautifully overcame the difficulty of high contrast due to side lighting; the highlights are skillfully exposed for correct details while leaving much visibility in the shaded areas. The crown-shaped dome constitutes the center of attraction, for sure! Cheers

I saw quite a few Serbian monasteries in Prizren and other cities in Kosovo. This one seems similar only there is no barbed wire to keep arsonists out. Good sharpness and color with excellent saturation. I like the warm cold color contrast between the blue sky and Burgundy red roof. Tfs!

great collection of photos from this unique place.
I really like the stylish tower of this church. This is the type of architecture which we don't have much in the northern Europe so it feels quite exotic to me. So close culturally and yet somehow different.
