Photographer's Note
This is a shot from a series that I have focusing on paths. I began to get intersted in the idea of paths when I was working on the Camino de Santiago.
Paths facinate me because you always have a wonder about what is just around the bend. What is around the next corner, and I think it is a terrific metaphor for life. I have some of the series at this photo hosting site.

This shot is in Santiago and I was facinated by the narrowness of the street. In the US you would never find such a narrow street but when I saw it all I wanted to do was go find out where it went; thus the nature of paths.

Hi Brady...I agree with what you have said...there is definately something interesting about alleyways/paths, perhaps because the shadows are very nice within them...
However, I think there is a lack of subject matter here in general...there needs to be something a little more than just the drain for me to look at...a stray cat or something? I dont know..it may have looked a little strange, but I think it would have been worth waiting for something/someone to pass/go through there...it would have been great to catch someone walking past the other end...just a thought...
