A classic Madrid shot, this one. This is the view through one of the many arches leading to / from the Plaza Mayor in the heart of the city.

With great art museums and good food, Madrid is a city we like. We've been there several times. Last time we visited was quite a while ago, this summer we ended our Spanish tour there.

Goedenavond Benny,

De voorgevel is mooi symmetrisch verdeeld.
Ook het donkere frame van de poort met de licht als decoratie.
Maar de twee donkere silhouetten zijn een mooi contrast tegen de kleuren van de gevel.
Schitterend foto werk, bedankt.

Ja, de bekende architectuur van de rode gebouwen rond om het plein is duidelijk herkenbaar hier. Mooi contrast met de twee silhouettes en de boog met lamp.

Mooi genomen vanuit 鳬n van de toegangspoorten.
De rode gevels van Plaza Mayor ogen prachtig tegenover de silhouetten van de bezoekers en de donkere boog.
Madrid is ook een stad waar ik steeds van gehouden heb.

One of my favourite subjects when the opportunity arises - through arches. This is a very good one with the light red paint and the 2 silhouetted figures.

An absorbing vibrant shot where the eyes are drawn to the bursting colours of the facade, and the stark silhouetted figs play the second fiddle to keep the whole interest in focus. Simply delightful to watch this high quality picture and tfs

Hello Benny,

Views through arches always add a special artistic interest, especially when the b/g subject is so bright and colourful.
The silhouetted figures create a very good contrast, as well as stirring our interest in who they were and where they were going.

When I visited this spot, a lot of it was under construction. Maybe I have to visit again. Your second visit allowed you to capture this great shot. Some places are worth to be visited more than once.
Nice composition with the silhouette of the lamp above. People provide further silhouettes.
