Photographer's Note

My previous Madrid picture was pretty classical, this is a bit less familiar sight.

This is the view from our hotel room in Madrid. No major sights, but a most interesting view nevertheless, imho, when given good light.

I particularly like the contrast between the old workers houses below and the more modern architecture beyond. Particulary thosse workers houses below were a bit odd and a rather unsuspected find in central Madrid.

The church in the bg is the church of Santa Teresa y San Jos�, the shot was taken from a hotel room on the Cta de San Vincente, roughly halfway between the Plaza de Espana and the Royal Palace. Pretty central.

Vanaf uw kamer een foto maken over de achterkant van de stad.
Normaal zien we meest in de mooie binnenstad de mooie gebouwen.
Vandaar dat ik echt eens de voorkeur geef aan deze foto
Gewoon scherp en helder, met vele details.

Deze stadsfoto van Madrid is een mooi ensemble van verschillende stijlen. Vele woningen in alle soorten en maten, maar daarachter de koepel van de kerk. Alles wordt prachtig verlicht door een helder zonlicht.

beautiful scene from Madrid.
I like the elevated point of view. The buildings are so colorful and nicely alighned. The highlight is the little church on top. It has quite a unique design, especially the dome.
