Nope, it's not Darth Vader's helmet, it's the Palau de les arts Reina Sofa, Valencia's Cultural center and Opera House. The said center was inaugurated last 2005.
Situated at the end of the old riverbed Turia, it is one of the most important tourist destinations in Valencia. The Palau des Artes was the final structure built of a grand City of Arts and Sciences concept - a science/arts complex consisting of the;
L'Hemisf鑽ic an Imax Cinema, Planetarium and Laserium.
El Museu de les Ci鈩cies Prncipe Felipe an interactive museum of science.
L'Umbracle a landscaped walk with plant species indigenous to Valencia .
L'Oceanogr瀁ic the largest oceanographic aquarium in Europe.
El Puente de l'Assut de l'Or a bridge that connects the south side with Minorca Street, whose 125 meters high pillar is the highest point in the city.
L'タgora a covered plaza in which concerts and sporting events are held. and
The Valencia Towers
Concept designed by the Valencia-born and internationally known architect, Santiago Calatrava. This sophisticated state of the art opera house contains four large rooms: Sala principal or the main theater, Magisterial Classroom, Amphitheater and Theater of Camera.
Shot was taken around 6 am in the morning, stitched in 5 photos to get this view since I had no wide lens to get these beautiful infrastructure. It was a bit sad that i haven;t had much the time to explore all of the complex's infrastructure. I'm sure one had to offer an exciting experience from the other.
Here's a comprehensive photo of the copmplex...

Hello Mathieu - Congratulations on managing to stitch this shot together so seamlessly! Your six-in-the-morning shot benefits from wonderful warm light on the building the curves of which are well defined. I like your POV, the two curving structures lead one into the shot. Good colour and clean exposure make this a very appealing image. Well done! Rosemary

Hello Mathieu,
A few years ago I had seen a documentary program on television about the construction of Valencia's Cultural Cener and Opera House by Calatrava. How he he used the topography of the land to design the shape of the structure, how the different prefabricated parts were pieced together, etc. But I had no idea what the final structure would like. Your beautiful photograph reveals the originality and vision of the edifice. In Venice the newest bridge over the Grand Canal is one of his creations also. Your stitching of six pictures is highly successful, especially since nary a seam shows, and yet the very good resolution is evident.
Warm regards,
Bulent

Hi Mathieu!
Wow! Just great! And incredibly unique building, but more importantly, captured with such expertise, right down to the warm light from the east. Well worth getting up for I see. I have yet to do any stitching, and I suppose I would have used my wide angle 10-20 and then I would have had to use "warp" in Photoshop to straighten everything. Your results are flawless and most probably the best way to go! Fine work, warm regards,
Steve

Hola Mathieu .........
Me gusta mucho tu encuadre del Palau,
los colores y la definicin son excelentes
y lo mejor de todo es la luz,
esa luz suave del sol cuando
esta cerca del horizonte.
Felicidades por el buen trabajo.
Un saludo ...

Hello Mathieu,
Your picture could be a trailer for several films, I can think of "The Day After ", or something about extraterrestrials.
The atmosphere is the right one! :o)
Rarely seen photos so successful!
Have a nice evening and hope to see you soon!

it is difficult to choose a photo to make a critic in your gallery, there are lots of fabulous works there. This is only one of them. Fabulous the architecture here. When I visited this town these modern buildings weren't build yet, what was a pity.
Fabulous the pov, framing, light, sharpness and every detail we can see here. a magical architecture and a marvelous image to translate the place. well done, congratulations
