Photographer's Note

Es Vedr� is a Balearic island approximately 2 km off the western coast of Ibiza, in the area of Cala d'Hort. The island is a nature reserve and is uninhabited. As the main island Ibiza, Es Vedr� consists predominantly of mesozoic limestone without any larger (magnetic) metal accumulations. The esoteric claim of being a "special magnetic place" therefore is a mere urban legend without any scientific, i.e. geological base.

Wonderful picture!
Sharpness, exposure, colors, chosen pov, composition and contrasts are all excellent photo qualities!
It makes me want to jump into that water... I love those colors!

Hello Valter,
rare case,that your pictures are without any people.But the breathtaking view compensates it.I like this kind of "rocky" coastlines,theyｴre so picturesque,even if thereｴs lack of sandy beaches.Superb composition with outstanding sharpness and clarity.The colors are also delightful.
I hope you took also some more pictures on Formentera(except the previous one in B&W).Iｴve heard there are some of the best beaches in Europe with really clear water.

Come ho detto su Facebook, il paesaggio e' stupenda, ma credo sia il fotografo che ha fatto questa foto cosi bella. L'hai composto con un cornice naturale delle roccie. I colori sono naturali e ben giudicati. Adoro le tessiture delle roccie (uno dei miei elementi favoriti) ed il grandanglo anche ha fatto bene. Una piccola rompiscatola: l'orizzonte e' un po storta da'l grandangolo, o sono cieca? :)

bellissima e molto impressionante la vista della costa e dell' isola dal' alto. Il punto di vista ed il momento dello scatto erano ben scelti ed efficacissimi a presentarci la meraviglia dei colori, la lucidit`a del mare, i dettagli e le tessiture del rilievo delle roccie grigie. La chiarezza `e ottima, la gestione della luce forte e stata abilissima. C'`e grande chiarezza anche nel ombra ed i contrasti sono assolutamente effettivi. Mi piace tanto il dinamismo creato dalla posizione diagonale della curva e dell' isola. Complimenti e grazie!

Nicely composed image with the curved shape of the land as it meets the beautiful blues sea. Very sharp image and the horizon is placed on the line fo the third in keeping with good composition.

Ciao caro Valter,

This is pure Mediterranean! What fabulous colours and light!

You have composed this picture very well with Es Vedr� perfectly placed in the frame and with the rocky outcrop in the left of the picture balancing it perfectly. The curvature of the water's edge makes a fine lower frame too.

The colours are amazingly vibrant, especially all the different shades of blue, the exposure is perfect and the details and sharpness are exquisite.

Imagine if I am up here with you Valter! I can fully understand your feeling and reasons for taking this shot for I too cant resist or ignore the pulling power here, the dominant blue water extremely brilliant in color and the white rocky beach even makes it more striking. Bags of highlights and inclusion of the rocky islet essencutes the depth and perspective very well. Great capture my friend, TFS

Beautiful landscape/surrounding and beautiful

Light management in on a great balance: no
overlighted pieces, no hard shadows.
Picture has a lots of highness and depth and
