Do you remember the snowy lake, when we went through Lapland in May? We had a lovely camping site there in Vilhelmina, so, on the way back, we stayed there again for a couple of days...

South Lapland extends from Northern J舂tland northwards into V舖terbotten and the vast wilderness of Swedish Lapland. The area offers both bare mountains and forest, with attractions including 10,000 lakes, mountain areas with ski resorts and hiking in the summer, 150 mountain peaks over 1,000 metres above sea level, more fishing than you can count and a rich settler and Sami culture. In other words, South Lapland is the perfect starting point for top-class open-air activities.

Salut Viviane
Many people don't realise how green Lapland is during its short summer. They even experience sunshine from time to time!
Lovely image that shouts "holidays".

Dag Viviane,
Het is al heel wat jaren geleden dat ik in dit gebied geweest ben. Digitale fotografie bestond toen nog niet en de wegen in dit gebied waren voornamelijk nog grind wegen.
Deze prachtige foto geeft dus goede herinneringen aan de uitgestrekte bossen, vele meren en wat meer naar het westen de heuvels en bergen. Ook de blauwe lucht met enkele witte wolken sluit aan bij mijn herinnering.

Hi Viviane,
Now it really is summertime on this picture. Fresh greens, sparkling blue lake and half cloudy shows Nordic midsummer at it's best. Landscape is very much the same as in Finland.
