Uppsala Domkyrka II

Just another photo of Uppsala Domkyrka (Uppsala Cathedral), it is after all the most important church in Sweden, as the seat of the Archbishop of Uppsala, who has been the primate of Sweden since 1164. The photo was taken from the edge of Universitetsparken, on the corner of S:t Olofsgatan and S:t Larsgatan.

Hallo Lars,
Je standpunt verschilt slechts enkele meters van het mijne bij een foto die ik enkele jaren geleden opgeladen heb.
De roze gevel van het gebouw links en ook de eerder gele muren wat verderop zorgen voor mooie kleurcombinaties op een prachtige zomerdag onder een blauwe lucht.
Extra bij jouw foto is dan nog het groene grasveld.
De Uppsala Domkyrka is werkelijk impressionant en de landmark van dit aangename studentenstadje.

Another imposing view of the double towers church, from a diff. perspective, Lars.
From this side we can see yet another Gothic styled tower on the background. The building on left is a bit distorted, but not a grand issue about it - adding depth to the compo.

Hello Lars,
An excellent capture of this cathedral rising majestically above its surroundings. The street makes a good lead-line drawing the viewer straight into the scene. Very pleasant lights and well saturated colours; exceptional clarity.

The street leads my eyes toward the cathedral which is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the buildings and of the cathedral. The good luminosity is giving nice tints to the colours. Have a nice day.

Bonjour Lars,

Un titre de photo et de ville que je ne connaissais que dans les livres qui viennent du nord et les romans noirs tr鑚 connus dans la r馮ion. L'馮lise est tr鑚 impressionnante avec ses deux clochers jumeaux.

Good Morning Lars,

You have given us a view of the same building but from a completely different angle and with different leads to grab our attention.
The angled, orange building makes an irresistible guide inwards to the focal subject.
You had a fine, sunny day creating a cornflower, blue sky, perfect to act as a backdrop for the spires.

Hello Lars

I spent a few days in Uppsala and seem to recall there were 2 cathedrals. I like the extreme wide angled view although it is not everyone's cup of tea & they try to correct the tilt at the sides. But here the central vertical line is perfectly straight so no big drama. Tfs!

I had the pleasure to visit Malmo and Lund but that was everything I have seen so far in Sweden and it was as well in the pre digital times :(
This is a very attractive spot and most of all captured in a fantastic light of a great weather day. The colorful buildings go so well with the blue sky.

A beautiful wide angle shot. I like the effect of the wide angle lens, creating a bokeh image on the buildings, particularly on the left of the frame. Sensational colours and good sharpness. A delightful scene.
