Photographer's Note

A shot from the area right outside the Gothenburg Opera. A beautiful area along the waterfront. This collection of kayaks immediately caught my attention. I tried out different approaches and ended up with this. I cropped the refleftion of the blue one just to get it asymmetric.

Colour of the kayaks make great looking combination which works especially well on your tight framing. And doubling them on the reflections is fantastic.

yes, i remember seeing this one on FB as well.
good eye to capture this one, most people just walk right on by and don't notice the potential.

and the dim lighting actually works well, no overexposed portions to be seen that way.

Hello Erling - I'm not sure how I missed this colorful image. Suffice to say I've caught up with it now and I am attracted to the closely cropped repeating shapes of the canoes with their bold colours and contrasts. Good vertical composition... a striking image.
