Vilhelmina

Vilhelmina is located in southern Lapland. In 2017 we drove twice through Vilhelmina, first time going to the north of Norway around mid May and the second time late June when we went back to the south.
This photo is taken at 22:45 from our caravan window, our feet almost in the lake, Volgsj.

Hello Viviane,
Even to me, as a Swede, such light at 22:45 and so much ice and snow in mid May seems rather exotic. I have never been even nearly as far north as this. It looks cold, and not entirely pleasant, but the colours are very nice.

Hi Viviane,
There's something very Nordic in this picture. Mix of pink and pale blue pastel tones look so good. And melting ice gives a promise of approaching summer. And the morning version shows very very clean and fresh air.

Lovely scenery enhanced by the evening light very nicely captured. I like the layered composition with something of interest at every level.
Only may and sunset colours already so late in the sky. My kind of landscape and the photo really makes me want to be there.
The WS complements the main image so well.

hello Viviane. Interesting to compare the same view taken at different time of the day. Amazing colors at 22.45. When I was in Lofoten in July, there was no night at all. I could take pictures at 2 a.m. impressive view with the snow. Excellent composition.

Hello Viviane,
if I had to chose, I would have taken the WS as main upload, it looks so fresh and clean, it gives the illusion of unpolluted nature, even the patch of dirty snow in the foreground does not disturb the view. What joy to start the day with this view out of your window!
