Photographer's Note
Small brook, circulating through the Finges Forest. Simple at first sight... but however filled of mysteries, complexities. Taking life on the top of the montain, coming to die in the arm of the Rhone, its brother much larger than him.
The forest of Finges is crossed by small torrents and brooks. One of them, Bttenbach, lodges a small family of beavers. They are the gardeners of the forest. No one can better only one beaver manage the stoppings which enable him to arrange personal swimming pools where he likes to play and which, more important, dissimulate the subaqueous entry of its burrow. Does water inflate? The beaver withdraws some parts of its stopping to better let it pass. It drop? Here are which reinflates its work and seals it. As for the trees! The beaver kills you with few blows of teeth an immense pine. Admittedly not for its enormous trunk, but for grown again and growths which soon will flash back of the ground and which will compose a small more tender and delicious good to him.
On the edges of the Rhone, between the ponds and the hills of Finges, one finds the richest concentration in biodiversity of Switzerland.
On a side, the mountain. Other, the Rhone. Twelve thousand years ago, the mountain was split, a terrible crumbling crossed the river. And nature created Finges. The blocks of stone became hills. Between them were born from the ponds. This area of 52 km2 is next to out of 7 km left bank of the "wild" Rhone and its water not channeled between Leuk and Sierre.
Dogs, fishermen, bathers are banished: here only the delicate pulsations of nature should reign, a whole microcosmic life. Where the commun run does not see that vulgar strolls in forest, the guides, them, by which it is worth the sorrow to be accompanied at the time of an excursion in the heart of Finges, read in nature as in a large open book.
All the zone, in a true natural mosaic, alternates the fertile hollows thus surrounding the ponds and the grounds "steppe", thin and fragile, roots and rocks quickly exposed by erosion... At each zone, its adapted environment, dragonflies or butterflies, cicadas and astragales of Montpellier, high pines or pubescent oaks. Elsewhere, it would be necessary to cross the Alps to meet similar diversity!

Une superbe photo accompagn馥 d'une note tr鑚 didactique, Isabelle.

Great nature shot, Isabelle. I like how the water meanders through the frame, and the color contrast between the dry grass and the juicy greens is very well captured. Your notes have always been good, but they keep getting better.

Bravo

Very well captured colours, the reflexion of the sky gives life to it, to this photo full of "mistery".
Very good note too.

I really like the color. You really extract the most of the light.
I think that the frame around distracts more than help visually the picture.

Composition aussi r騏ssie et bien 駲uilibr馥.

Magnifique isabelle!!! RESPECT.
