Photographer's Note
View of Les Diablerets from the road coming down from Col de la Croix. Amount of chalets on this village and ski resort really surprised me. Road between Villars-sur-Ollon and Les Diablerets over the Col de la Croix (1776 m) mountain pass is one of the less significant mountain roads in Switzerland. It has three daily bus connections on summer time only and the road is closed to traffic in winter time.

Hello Kari,
Indeed, a very large number of typical chalets that we find scattered throughout the green valley.
A beautiful photo in which forests and alpine meadows alternate.
Clouds are blowing over the ridge but the sun is still shining in the foreground.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Kari,
This is a beautiful view and it seems to sum up my ideas of Switzerland, a country I have just passed through a couple of times but never really seen properly. It's neat and pretty and the huts and a barn fill the nearest large field well.

Gert

Hello Kari,
A fantastic view of this landscape. I like the mix of trees and many small wooden houses, like the ones which are more clearly visible in the foreground. The low hanging clouds and the bright sunlight are very attractive also.

Hello Kari!
I've been to the Diablerets summit several times, but refrained from driving Col de la Croix. Indeed, that's how I love Switzerland, you photo perfectly fits the mood of that region near the French/German speaking border. Thanks for sharing, and
best regards from Rhineland

Hello Kari,
I have not been to the Swiss Alps but this reminds me very much of the scenes in the French Alps. It is undeniably beautiful!
Your viewpoint clearly reveals the sense of depth, the conifer clad mountain slopes, the charming style of the chalets and lime green pastures!
Have a lovely w/e,
Bve :-)
